An Automatic Capping Machine is an automated industrial device designed to precisely and securely apply various types of closures (screw caps, tamper-evident lids, press-and-turn caps, pump heads, etc.) onto the corresponding necks of containers. It is an indispensable piece of equipment in packaging lines for industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, and household products.

The fundamental operation simulates the manual capping motion but with greater speed, precision, and controlled force.

1. Cap Sorting & Feeding: Closures are oriented and delivered to the pickup point via a feeding system (e.g., vibratory bowl feeder, centrifugal feeder, or cap sorter).

2. Cap Pickup & Alignment: The capping head (typically consisting of grippers/chucks, a clutch mechanism, and a drive motor) descends, picks up a cap, and aligns it with the container mouth.

3. Torque Application (Tightening):

• The capping head rotates the cap (usually clockwise).

• The container is held stationary by a bottle platform/lifter or rotates in the opposite direction to create relative motion.

• Crucially, a torque-control system (often a mechanical clutch or a servo motor with torque feedback) ensures the cap is tightened to a preset, precise torque. The clutch slips or the servo stops once the target torque is reached, preventing over-tightening (which can damage threads) or under-tightening (which can cause leaks).

4. Release & Reset: The capping head releases the closed container, retracts, and resets for the next cycle.

1. The mechanical part can be adjusted right or left, up or down to suit various sizes bottles and caps. It is very flexible for different sizes of round bottles, square bottles and flat bottles by adjustment.

2. Capping time can be set to suit different bottles and caps with different levels of tightness.

3. It uses cap elevator to feed caps, the advantage is easier put caps to cap hopper，also with lower noise.

4. Equipped with capping guide mechanism and correction mechanism to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of capping.
